Hi

I have just got back form doing my climb up Kilimanjaro. I did the Lemosho route - 7 days in total. You can read about it on my blog at www.morenobeam.wordpress.com.

I agree with your comments about the litter. It really is sad that the environment and such a precious natural resource is being spoilt by the very people who pay good money to spend some time on it. I am also concerned about the lack of "care" for the guides and porters. Some die on the mountain given their lack of adequate clothing.

All in all, I think that the mountain and the locals are being exploited whilst the tour operators make good money. Its all about taking and nothing about putting back.

The trip is incredible and a real physical challenge. It's a pity it won't be there for many generations to come. Have a look on my blog for evidence of the receding glaciers with pictures taken over the last 8 years.

Good luck with your next adventures!
